On September 29, 2021 is the 80th anniversary of the mass shooting carried out by the Nazis in Babyn Yar, Kyiv. This tragic date is a symbol of the Nazi policy of extermination in Ukraine. Babyn Yar is a necropolis for civilians of different nationalities – adults, children, prisoners of war. From September 1941 to the end of September 1943, Babyn Yar was the site of regular gunning and burials carried out by the military and police of the Nazi occupation authorities. During the German occupation, more than 100,000 people were shot dead in Babyn Yar, including about 65,000 to 70,000 Jews. Such tragedy cannot be forgotten, every citizen of Ukraine must remember it.

The cadets listened to a lecture and watched the documentary “Babyn Yar – New Documents”. The event was attended by Deputy Dean for Educational and Methodological Work of the Faculty №2 Serhii Hirenko and Head of the Department of Social and Economic Science Serhii Tkachenko.
