Associate professors of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the Faculty №6 Natalia Hresa, Kateryna Mannapova and Volodymyr Filonenko attended a training for scientific-educational staff of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to teach the course “Psychological support
(psychological rehabilitation) in extreme situations”. It was held at Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs as part of a joint project of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “Improving the training capacity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on psychological support in extreme situations”.
The event was attended by the representatives of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, departmental universities – Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Odessa State University of
Internal Affairs, Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs, Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The trainers were OSCE experts on psychological rehabilitation, psychotherapist Liudmyla Tsarenko and trauma-focused therapist Maryna Malinovska.
The training was aimed at mastering psychological practices to prevent the impact of risk factors for professional activities, maintaining physical and mental health, improving psychological stability, reliability and readiness of personnel – an integral part of professional and psychological training of police officers.
Participants enriched and improved practical knowledge and mastered the latest technologies of psychological training of personnel for psycho-emotional stress, correction of psycho-emotional state and the use of methods of psychological self-regulation.
After the training, the Vice-Rector of the University, Police Major Ruslan Vradii and the National Manager of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine Serhii Hrynenko presented the participants with the certificates of training and wished them successful application.
