Students-consultants of the legal clinic “Legal Aid” of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs along with the Head of the legal clinic Maryna Vasylenko visited the Regional Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid Provision in Sumy region.
For applicants for higher education who master the legal professions, it is important to be familiar with the activities of centers and legal aid offices, to know what services, projects contribute to improving the legal education of the population.
Clinicians visited the contact center, learned about the peculiarities of providing legal advice by phone.
Citizens from different settlements of Ukraine call the unified number of the FLA system (tel. 0 800 213 103) to receive legal advice and clarifications. Because the range of legal issues that clients ask is wide, lawyers use the legal Wikipedia WikiLegalAid.
The students were also acquainted with the work of the duty unit, learned what challenges are coming to the duty unit, how instructions are issued to lawyers to protect the rights of citizens.
Such meetings are useful for future lawyers, because then they better understand the specifics of the work of centers and offices, as well as consider such institutions as their first place of work.
