On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism in the Second World War, there was a solemn ceremony of laying flowers on the territory of the National Memorial Complex "The Height of Marshal I. S. Koniev". Vice-Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Serhii Bortnyk together with the representatives of state and local self-government authorities, veterans, and the public took part in the events.
The Day of Victory over Nazism in the Second World War will remain forever in our memory. With a deep honor, we remember the heroes who won our freedom in a terrible duel with Nazism. The memory of their feats remains with us as a brilliant sample of courage, the strength of the spirit, self-sacrifice, and eternal grief for those who gave their lives for peace on earth.
May 8 is the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation in Ukraine.
