The Department of Foreign Languages ​​of Faculty No.4 together with the Department of International Cooperation held an international debate tournament between cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (Ukraine) and cadets of the Academy of Police Forces in Bratislava (Slovakia).

The University team consisted of the fourth-year cadets of Faculty No.2 Ruslan Chubenko (Speaker), Yurii Reskalenko and second-year cadet of Faculty No.1 Maksym Kushch.The jury consisted of the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Olena Stativka, the Head of the Department of International Cooperation Olena Ustymenko, and a Lecturer of Law, Candidate of Law at the Academy of Police Forces in Bratislava Tomasz Shkrynar. The moderator of the tournament was a senior lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages Nataliia Krasnova.

The topic of the debates was "Television is the main cause of violence in modern society." The participants of the tournament asked each other lots of questions, argued and denied the statements. Ruslan Chubenko (KhNUIA) was named the best Speaker.
