A meeting of the scientific circle "Language media is an important component of training" was held. The head of the circle Oksana Savchenko prepared a round table on the topic "Shot immortality", dedicated to the anniversary of the mass shootings of the Ukrainian elite in the Sandarmokh tract in the period from October 27 to November 4, 1937. She invited historian Serhii Varavin to take part in the event.

Inspector of the Department of General Education Inessa Ivanishchak created and demonstrated the presentation "Shot Immortality". The teacher of Ukrainian literature focused on the tragic page in the history of Ukraine, in particular on the figures of the Ukrainian intelligentsia namely, the neoclassical poet, Professor Mykola Zerov, the creator of the Berezil Theater Les Kurbas, the playwright Mykola Kulish, writers Valerian Pidmohylnyi, Hryhoriy Epik, Myroslav Irchan, Mark Voronoi, Oleksa Slisarenko, Mykhailo Yalovyi.

The historian focused the attention of the members of the circle on the most mass shootings of the Ukrainian elite, which took place during this period. Within a week, the NCIA claimed the lives of 1,111 prisoners, 200 of whom were the pride of Ukraine. The names of all 1,111 people shot have been established. There were representatives of the cultural and scientific intelligentsia, historians, the party elite, and priests.

The participants of the event honored with a minute of silence for all those innocently shot. After listening to the speakers, a video about the executions of Ukrainians in the Sandarmokh tract was watched.

Carrying out of such actions promotes formation of a steady civil position at applicants of higher education, cultivates patriotism, pride in the state, honor and respect for Ukrainian history, representatives of the Ukrainian people, achievements of Ukrainians, preserves the memory of the past, makes them stronger in their beliefs.
