The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko attended University on a working visit. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary USA Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey R. Pyatt, Khatia Dekanoidze Head of the National Police and  Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Igor Raynin visited the University together with the President of Ukraine. Guests met the Rector of the university colonel of police Valerii Sokurenko.

Practical law enforcement units have demonstrated their capability to the President and performanced the usage of service dogs on vehicle inspection, finding weapons and drugs, arresting offenders and so on. Cadets of the university performed acrobatic exercises with weapons, held a demonstration of checking the documents and detaintion of the offender using elements of hand-to-hand fight. Department staff of tactical and special training chair showed extreme driving skills.

Poroshenko met future patrol police employees who will work in Donetsk and Lugansk regions. They conducted practical training on tactical and special training. During the meeting President stressed on the difficult situation in Ukraine and the world in general. This is because of wars and terrorism.

He also visited the training center of monitoring cyberspace and counteracting cybercrime. He got acquainted with the features of the center, spoke to the students.The President also inspected the most modern equipment for finding and neutralization of the explosive devices, and special forensic equipment to conduct examinations/
