Recently, the first professor of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, which was known as Kharkiv Institute of Internal Affairs, Oleksandr Mykhailovych Kryvulia, celebrated his 80th birthday. He was the first (in chronological order) of that constellation of professors of our university, who had to develop our educational institution side by side with the First Rector of the university Oleksandr Bandurka from the “first bricks”. Oleksandr Kryvulia was also the first among the university's scientists to receive the special rank of “Militia Colonel” (http://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/11829).
