Yevhen Hrebinka – a classic of Ukrainian and world literature (to the 210th anniversary of his birth)

Yevhen Hrebinka was born on February 2, 1812 in the village of Ubizhyshche, Pyriatyn district (Poltava Region) in the family of a small landowner Pavel Hrebinka and his wife Nadiia Tchaikovska. The future writer's father was a Headquaters Captain of the Malorussia Cavalry Regiment, participated in the War of 1812, after his retirement employed himself in farming (http://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/12157).
