On May 6, 2022, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the draft law No. 4284 dated 29.10.2020 ”On de-Sovietization of the legislation of Ukraine”.

In accordance with its provisions, the Code of Labor Laws of Ukraine is amended, which, in particular, approved a new version of the articles 202-204, 206, 208, 210-216 of the Code of Labour in the part of:

  1. procedure for granting benefits for employees who study in secondary, professional (vocational), professional pre-higher education;
  2. time of annual holidays for employees studying in educational institutions;
  3. regulation of the procedure for granting vacation without saving wages to employees admitted to entrance examinations in higher education institutions;
  4. providing additional vacations in connection with studies in institutions of professional pre-higher education, higher education, postgraduate education and postgraduate studies.

The relevant draft law also amends the Housing Code, in particular, on state regulation in the sphere of housing relations, management in the field of use and ensuring the safety of housing stock, public control over the provision of citizens with residential premises, the procedure for accounting for citizens who need improvement of housing conditions, etc.
