Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs together with the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) is starting the implementation of the project “EU policy traffic light: gender, rights, migration and digitalization” (GeRiMiD). Recent research on gender in immigration shows that men and women have very different integration abilities. Social norms and practices that promote gender equality or, conversely, discriminatory institutions shape or constrain women's decisions, choices, and behaviours. The COVID-19 pandemic and a full-scale invasion have become another challenge for the world, the community. They necessitated the digital technologies introduction into all life spheres and the formation of a common digital space. Also, digitization in migration is a necessary component of a candidate country for EU accession functioning.
The actual project activity is aimed at demonstrating how, during using digital technologies, privacy and general human rights are ensured at various stages of the migration cycle. Therefore, the "GeReMiD" project will be an integral element of European education for KhNUIA, its employees and students.
