In order to improve the level of professional qualifications, the assistant professor of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines of the Faculty No. 2 Nataliia Bobro took part in a training on the topic: "The impact of the war in Ukraine on the situation with human trafficking. Identification and referral of victims of human trafficking". The event was organized by the non-governmental organization "Clean Sheet" as part of the project "Help, support and win" with funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commonwealth of Nations and Development of Great Britain, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden
and the anti-trafficking program of the United States Agency for International Development.
The data of a National study on the vulnerability of the population to human trafficking and exploitation in war conditions, conducted in October 2022 presented during the event by the coach Nataliia Sukhorukova. The study held at the request of the representative office of the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine – the United Nations Agency for Migration in Ukraine with the financial support of the United States Agency for International development.
A number of issues such as forms and types of human trafficking; direct and indirect signs of human trafficking; basic principles of working with victims of violence, exploitation and human trafficking; ways of recruiting people; identification and referral of victims of human trafficking, exploitation or gender-based violence considered by participants during the training and what help Ukrainians who have suffered from human trafficking can expect. The training involved performing tasks, the group work results discussing, learning the teamwork and establishing communication, as it one of the important criteria for quick and comprehensive assistance to persons caught in a situation of human trafficking. Successfully completing the training, Nataliia Bobro received a certificate.
