Under the leadership and co-organization of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy,
Kateryna Levchenko, an online working meeting was held on the state of implementation of the
Law of Ukraine On Prevention and Combating Domestic Violence.
During the meeting, a study conducted by the Human Rights Expert Center on the topic ''The
rights of victims of violent crimes in Ukraine: international standards and national practices'' was
presented.
Preparations for the ninth thematic meeting of the Commission on coordination of interaction of
executive authorities on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men on the
topic ''Combating domestic violence in the period of war and reconstruction, taking into account
the needs of various target groups'' have also been announced.
The work of the ''Hotline'' for combating human trafficking, preventing and combating domestic
violence, gender-based violence and violence against children at the short number 15-47, which
is open 24 hours a day, was discussed. There is also a website: https://1547.ukc.gov.ua./.
The situations when victims are unable to speak are especially relevant for the registration of
appeals.

In particular, importance of popularizing the psychological help for men number (including military personnel): 23-45 was noted.
The hotline is open 24 hours per a day and offers advice on all issues, including violence prevention.
The Adviser to the Rector of KhNUIA on Gender Issues, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Oksana Tsukan, attended the event.
