Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project under the direction of the Jean Monnet Module “EU
policy traffic light: gender, rights, migration and digitalization” (GeRiMiD), the Head of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Olena Lukianykhina held a thematic quiz among students of the school № 27 (Sumy).
With the assistance of the school management, Sumy Branch representative monitored schoolchildren awareness on issues of digitalization, gender and discrimination.
The quiz results conducted with the help of a Google form confirmed the positive perception by the students of the digital solutions use during communications, as well as their correct answers to questions that specifically related to the field of digitalization.
Most schoolchildren had a general idea about gender, discrimination and the relationship between
these concepts. Therefore, in order to increase students awareness on these issues, their ability to
identify cases of discrimination based on gender, Olena Lukianykhina held a conversation explaining
unclear concepts, gave examples of violations of human rights based on gender, and emphasized
the need to prevent their manifestation in all spheres of social life.
At the end of the conversation, participants learned about the conducting specialties training at Sumy branch of KhNUIA. Educational lectures and trainings were suggested providing in the future.
