International Cooperation Department Specialist, Project Coordinator of the "Science and Security" Science Park, Nadiia Serhiienko and Senior Police Lieutenant Natalia Rostorhuieva took part in the "Competences for Professional Growth" training in Kyiv, organized by the Ukrainian Association of Law Enforcement Officers and the Ukrainian Women's Fund with the support of gender platform WO=MEN (the Kingdom of the Netherlands).

The participants of the event underwent comprehensive thematic training and developed practical skills in working with victims of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV), victims of various forms of domestic violence, increased understanding of quality work in the directions of "1325 Women, peace, security" and received professional expert advice from trainers.

Yuliia Nikolaichuk, UAWLE program manager, highlighted the state goals regarding changes in the regulatory framework of relevant documents in connection with the ratification of the Istanbul Convention.

Halyna Zhukovska, the senior referent of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, spoke about the aspects of the state gender policy in the conditions of war and provided recommendations regarding the stages of work with the National Action Plan for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325.

Expert in the implementation of gender policy, deputy of the Human Rights Monitoring Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs, doctor of philosophy in law Olha Perunova provided the participants with practical tools for preventing and countering discrimination based on gender and sexual harassment.

Psychologist trainers of the Center for Mental Health of the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" refreshed their knowledge and taught the training participants to cope with various types of stress by performing exercises and using body's resources https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/17011
