Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was visited by EUAM Ukraine Gender Adviser Anette Schwitzke (German national), Police Adviser Georgina Magnussen (Danish national) and Training Expert Yuliia Petrova. The purpose of the visit was to meet with the leadership of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and identify areas for further cooperation.
The delegation was met by the Rector, Police General of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko, the First Vice-Rector, Police Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Vasylenko and the Head of the Department of International Cooperation Tetiana Matiushkova.
Valerii Sokurenko thanked EUAM Ukraine for many years of fruitful cooperation, commitment to its development and expansion, introduced the peculiarities of the educational process at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs under martial law, and emphasised the importance of sustainable cooperation, the commitment of the university staff to European values and the democratic vector of development.
Viktor Vasylenko noted the university's need for advanced training for its academic staff in various aspects of human rights protection and the fight against crime, while Tetiana Matiushkova, Head of the Department of International Cooperation, highlighted the expediency of conducting trainings under the ‘Train the Trainer’ system to ensure more effective dissemination of new knowledge and skills by university representatives.
The foreign delegates presented their proposals for further training events for the academic staff and students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The parties reached an agreement on the next steps and deadlines for their implementation in order to expand cooperation between Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and EUAM Ukraine. https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/21082
