Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was represented by the First Vice-Rector Viktor VASYLENKO, Vice-Rector Oleksandr MUZYCHUK and Head of the International Cooperation Department Tetiana MATIUSHKOVA. EUAM Ukraine was represented by Senior OSINT Advisers Juan Carlos ADRIAS LOPEZ and Theo MANDOCCHI, Criminal Investigation Expert Vasyl BODNARIUK and translator Polina KOZACHOK.
Viktor VASYLENKO welcomed the guests on behalf of the university rector, Valerii Sokurenko. He emphasized the importance of cooperation with European partners and stressed that the joint work of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and EUAM in Ukraine is long-term and effective. “Last year alone, more than 150 representatives of the university took part in events with the participation of EUAM Ukraine and received certificates. We will continue to develop our partnership, because high-quality training of Ukrainian law enforcement officers is a guarantee of security and stability of our country,” said the First Vice-Rector. He emphasized the readiness of the academic staff and students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs to share their knowledge and experience with police officers from European countries and called on European partners to expand cooperation in this area.
Oleksandr MUZYCHUK suggested involving representatives of practical police units in further trainings to share theoretical and practical experience and improve the professional knowledge and skills of the representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
Senior OSINT Adviser Juan Carlos ADRIAS LOPEZ emphasized that it is an honor for the Mission to cooperate with the university representatives: “Your staff and cadets are true professionals, experienced, creative and proactive. I was impressed by their approach to the practical tasks of the training and their desire to improve their skills.”
Theo MANDOCCHI echoed his colleague's words, noting: “The future generation of law enforcement officers has every opportunity to work effectively in the face of modern challenges. We are interested in further cooperation with the university and are ready to support initiatives aimed at improving law enforcement training.”
As a result of the meeting, a preliminary agreement was reached to conduct a similar training course on the use of sources of information (OSINT) and criminal investigations for university representatives in other locations.
Noting the significant contribution of foreign partners to the training of law enforcement personnel of Ukraine, high professionalism, personal initiative and creative approach to the training course, the First Vice-Rector presented the Acknowledgement of the Academic Council of KhNUIA to senior OSINT advisers Juan Carlos ADRIANS LOPEZ and Theo MANDOCCA, as well as to criminal investigation expert Vasyl BODNARIUK.
