With the assistance of the International Cooperation Department and the Language Training Department at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the Virtual English Language Educator Program, a US State Department scholarship program, began its work in the 2025-2026 academic year.
The programme is funded by the US State Department and includes weekly English language classes for law enforcement agencies – for two groups of cadets and a group of foreign language teachers. The classes are taught by American English teacher Bonny BRAWNER, invited by the Public Diplomacy Department of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
The course will last 11 weeks and is aimed at providing modern and high-quality training for future law enforcement officers, developing their international professional and cultural communication skills in the performance of their duties.
Cadets from the Educational and Research Institutes Nos. 1-4 are participating in the online course. In addition, separate advisory work is being carried out with representatives of the university's language training department, Sumy branch and Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in order to improve the level of teaching and use of professional English at the university.
