Employees and cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the training "Improving the Level of Training of Ukrainian Police Special Units in the Field of Mine and Pyrotechnic Works in the Deoccupied Territories" in Luków (Poland) within the framework of the program "Polish Development Assistance 2025".

The events were conducted by specialists of the Explosives Department of the Anti-terrorist Special Police Unit of the Lublin Voivodeship.

The participants were introduced to the classification of explosive substances, personal protective equipment, robotic complexes for moving explosive objects and special vehicles for transporting explosive devices. They also mastered the procedure for the rescue and chemical group and interaction with other law enforcement agencies.

“The training helped us practice safety rules, tactics of mine and pyrotechnic measures and the procedure for bomb disposal,” said Mykola BOROVYK, Head of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the ERI No. 2. “The police quests and practical tasks on inspecting the scene of the incident and detecting explosives were especially useful.”

Senior Lecturer of the Department Serhii KUCHYNSKYI presented reports on the experience of Ukrainian law enforcement officers in improvised explosive device neutralization and the features of humanitarian demining in the deoccupied territories.
