The International Scientific and Practical Conference «Economic-Legal and Financial-Accounting for Sustainable Development: Modern Challenges and Trends» was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, which brought together scientists, practitioners, representatives of state institutions and educational institutions of Ukraine and abroad.

The event was opened by the Rector of the university, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii SOKURENKO. He noted that the conference is a unique platform for the exchange of experience aimed at the development of economic-legal and financial-accounting mechanisms in the conditions of modern challenges, as well as the discussion and implementation of effective approaches to increase the efficiency of public administration and support the sustainable development of the country.

The participants of the event presented the results of research in the fields of economy, law, finance, public administration and socio-economic transformations caused by the current martial law and global changes. The conference became a platform for professional exchange of opinions, development of proposals for state policy and development of scientific and practical interaction.

The event was organized by the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines, which ensured the preparation of the program, the work of sections, the coordination of participants and the involvement of practitioners and international colleagues. The reports of specialists of the MIA, the National Police, representatives of state authorities, as well as scientists from Poland, Turkey and Germany aroused considerable interest.

During the plenary session, topical issues of rebuilding the country, improving state financial control, increasing transparency in the use of resources, modernization of economic mechanisms, adaptation of legislation and development of human capital under martial law were discussed. Particular attention is paid to the unique specialty «Accounting and taxation», which is implemented at the university and remains the only one in the MIA system.

The event brought together more than two hundred participants and demonstrated the importance of joint work of science, education and practice to solve the strategic tasks of the state. Based on the results of the conference, a collection of materials will be prepared, and the developed recommendations will be submitted to the interested bodies and institutions.
