Members of the scientific circle of the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines and Ukrainian Studies «Actual problems of Ukrainian Studies» took part in the XV International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference of Young Scientists and Students «Hlukhiv Scientific Readings – 2025. Current issues of social sciences and humanities». Under the scientific guidance of Associate Professors of the Department Nataliia KOBYLKO and Victoriia PERTSEVA, students of higher education covered their achievements in the Philological Sciences section. Student Dariia VERESHCHAKA prepared a report «Peculiarities of speech of residents of Kharkiv Region», in which she considered the characteristic features of the Slobozhan dialect, a reflection of language policy in the speech of Kharkiv residents. She focused special attention on vocabulary, which was formed under the influence of cultural and geographical factors. Valeriia HUTS, cadet of the ERI No.4, presented the scientific research «The Influence of Dialectisms on the Modern Ukrainian Language», where she proved with vivid examples that dialectisms do not weaken the modern literary Ukrainian language, but on the contrary – strengthen it, providing a living connection with the folk language tradition and cultural heritage.
