On October 5, 2025, Serhii Viktorovych Lukianenko, a senior lecturer at the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, passed away. He devoted most of his life to service in the Internal Affairs Department, working his way up from an inspector of the public security department to the head of the city police department and becoming a mentor to many law enforcement officers.
