The Department of Special Physical Training of the Educational and Research Institute No. 2 held a training lesson with war veteran Kyrylo Nedilko, who served in the military from May 2023 and took part in combat operations in Kharkiv region.
In August 2024, while performing a combat mission, Kyrylo Nedilko was seriously wounded, resulting in the amputation of his lower limb. Despite the difficult challenges, the veteran continues active physical rehabilitation and demonstrates high motivation to recover.
During the lesson, the main focus was on developing and strengthening the muscles of the shoulder girdle, in particular the deltoids. The training programme also included work on the feet, which helps to improve coordination, develop speed and overall motor skills.
The lesson was conducted in a safe manner, taking into account Kyrylo's individual abilities and physical condition. The Department's instructors carefully selected the exercises, monitored the load and ensured that the techniques were performed correctly.
"Physical activity after an injury is not only a way to restore the body, but also an important factor in psychological stability. We are working to ensure that each training session is effective, safe and motivates you to move forward," said representatives of the Department of Special Physical Training.
The participant shared his impressions: ‘For me, such training is an opportunity to regain control over my body and feel confident in my abilities again. The support of specialists and the right approach are very helpful in the recovery process,’ emphasised Kyrylo Nedilko.
Conducting such classes is an important part of supporting war veterans, aimed at physical rehabilitation, adaptation to new living conditions and the formation of inner resilience.https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/26219
