As part of the international technical assistance project, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted a meeting with representatives of the international company Tetra Tech, which, with the support of the US government, implements humanitarian projects for demining territories in Ukraine. Mark Winfield, Liaison Officer for State Universities of Internal Affairs, and Nataliia Bazhyna, Technical Translator, took part in the event.

Valerii Sokurenko, Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police General of the third rank, welcomed the guests and emphasised, ‘Cooperation with Tetra Tech is an important step towards improving the professional training of our cadets and raising the professional level of the university's academic staff.’

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of mine action, in particular, conducting training for students and lecturer using modern methods and technologies for the identification and disposal of explosive objects. Tetra Tech representatives presented a catalogue of training courses, which also includes the equipment of training polygons as part of projects to support Ukraine.

At the end of the meeting, the management of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs thanked the Tetra Tech team for their cooperation and support of the university and Ukraine.https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/26440
