The Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Valerii Sokurenko took part in the seminar on advanced training of employees of institutions, organizations and enterprises belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on prevention and counteraction of corruption. The event was held on the basis of the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the National Academy of Internal Affairs.
The classes were conducted by representatives of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, public organizations, etc.
This event provided an opportunity to deepen knowledge of the main provisions of the anti-corruption legislation, to receive methodological recommendations for organizing the work on the prevention of corruption and revealing its manifestations, as well as to get acquainted with international experience in the field of combating corruption.
During the seminar the participants discussed the issues of the state of corruption in the country, the application of anti-corruption legislation, the organization and implementation of measures in the field of prevention of corruption in legal entities of public law, legal status and activities of the authorized person on issues of preventing corruption in the implementation of preventive anti-corruption measures, creation of conditions for reports of violations of the requirements of anti-corruption legislation and the establishment of effective work with deniers, prevention and settlement of a conflict of interests, features of the implementation of financial control within the institutions and units belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Based on the results of the gained knowledge, the participants completed the final test and received certificates of advanced training.
