Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was visited by the senior advisor on cybercrime issues of the EUAM in Ukraine Kiril Miliev (Republic of Bulgaria). The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the opportunities and needs of the Faculty No. 4, which is engaged in training specialists in the field of cybersecurity and the fight against cybercrimes.
Representative of the EUAM visited the Training Center for Combating Cybercrime and Cyberspace Monitoring, specialized training premises on combating human trafficking committed with the use of information technologies, training ground for modelling and counteracting cyber attacks.
Kiril Miliev also met with the leadership of the Faculty No. 4 – the dean of the Faculty, lieutenant colonel of police Viacheslav Markov, deputy dean on educational and methodical work Pavlo Makarenko, as well as scientific and pedagogical employees of the departments of cybersecurity and information technologies, scientific employees of the Research Laboratory on Protection Information and Cyber Security, Faculty cadets.
During the visit, the leading specialist of the Faculty, lieutenant of police Ruslan Sen and cadet of the 4th course Valeriia Chernovol presented the directions of the activity of the Training Center for Combating Cyber Crime and Monitoring Cyberspace and directions of interaction with the Department of Cyberpolice of the National Police of Ukraine. Professor of the department on cyber security of the Faculty Vitalii Nosov familiarized Kiril Miliev with the current concept of training and advanced training of specialists in combating cybercrime on the basis of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, acquainted with the list of professionally oriented academic disciplines studied at the University by future experts in the fight against cybercrime, a list of software and the technical facilities available at the University that are necessary for the qualitative training of cybercrime specialists, the list of European institutions and law enforcement agencies, the experience of which is needed to study.
As a result of the visit, agreements were reached on further possible ways of interaction and cooperation between the EUAM in Ukraine and Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in the area of combating cybercrime.
