The event that develops the national identity of the young people "I am Ukrainian!" was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs with the support of the Department of Youth and Sports of Kharkiv Regional State Administration and the Coordinating Council for National Patriotic Education of Kharkiv Regional State Administration.

At the beginning of the event all those present observed a minute of silence in memory of the cadets and officers of Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force who had died during the training flight.

Addressing the audience Rector of the University Dmytro Shvets stressed the importance of educating young people in national and patriotic traditions. The aim of the event is to educate young people who can say with honor and pride. ”We are Ukrainians, we were born and live on our own God-given land. This is our country and we love!”.

The cadets, students, and public national and patriotic organization leaders who take an active part in the public sector and implementation of youth policy in Kharkiv region were present at the event.

There was a presentation of national and patriotic public organizations in the format "Free Microphone". The event "I am Ukrainian!" gave the possibility to the participants to get acquainted with their activities and join the implementation of the initiatives. Thematic master classes and other interesting activities were also held. Lead Coach in building an effective team Mykola Shut held classes to unite the youth.
