The Ukrainian Junior Boxing Championship finished in Zaporizhia, with the participation of Oleksandr Balabin, a student of the Faculty № 6. In his weight category of 70 kg, Alexander held four fights. In the first one he won a convincing victory by knockout over an athlete from Zaporizhia region. The second fight also ended prematurely with a knockout with a sportsman from Poltava. The athlete spent the third fight with the representative of Dnipropetrovsk region . Twice sending his opponent to the knockdown, Olexandr won with a unanimous decision of the referees. In the final fight, the boxer met with a representative of Donetsk region, a winner of the European Championship. The battle was intense and spectacular, at the end of which the referees recognized Olexandr's absolute victory.

The competition was a qualifier for the European Championship. Olexandr Balabin will represent Ukraine in Bulgaria in late November.
