The First Deputy of the Minister stressed that law enforcement officers have already started their tasks today. 1,340 territorial election commissions with 2,729 police officers have already been taken under protection. "Tomorrow, October 22nd, we are taking precinct election commissions under protection. In addition, the police continue to work on documenting violations at all stages of the election process. In total, since September 5th, the territorial bodies of the National Police have registered 6,185 applications and notifications related to the election process. As a result of their consideration, 1,436 protocols on committing administrative offenses were drawn up and 475 criminal proceedings were initiated, ”he said.

The First Deputy of the Minister underlined that communication with the CEC is 100% established, therefore, field commanders must respond in a timely manner to all challenges to control all unforeseen circumstances.

Serhii Yarovyi stressed that all managers should take part in personnel training, deploy forces and means at locations, in accordance with preliminary calculations.

Deputy of the Interior Minister Anton Herashchenko stressed that the 2020 local elections are taking place most peacefully due to close cooperation between the CEC, TECs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The head of the National Police, Ihor Klymenko, stressed that law enforcement officers had taken under protection 35 objects producing election documentation.

NGU Commander Mykola Balan noted that on October 23 the Guards would redeploy to duty stations.

In turn, the head of the SSUE Mykola Chechotkin stressed that the SSEU has implemented all measures set by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and is ready to ensure security during the local elections.

According to the results of inspections, 215 thousand violations were revealed, of which 120 thousand were eliminated. About 120,000 people have been brought to administrative responsibility, and administrative lawsuits have been filed with the courts for the full or partial closure of more than a thousand facilities, ”he said.

Mykola Chechotkin stressed that on election day more than 42,000 rescuers and more than 3,000 special equipment and 12 aircraft would be on duty.

The head of the State Migration Service Maksym Sokoliuk noted that so far all measures have been taken to ensure that citizens receive all the ordered passports before the election. However, there is an agreement with the CEC that on Sunday citizens will be able to vote with old passports.
