Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs with the participation of the First Vice-Rector of the University Serhii Bortnyk, Vice-Rector Mykhailo Burdin, Heads of the departments and structural units took part in the Estonian-Ukrainian Forum of Legal Education, held on the basis of the Subcommittee on Higher Education of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation. Representatives of the working group for the preparation of committee hearings on “Reforming higher legal education in Ukraine: problems and prospects”, as well as representatives of Ukrainian law schools and the Institute of Law of Tallinn University of Technology exchanged experiences in legal education during the online session with the help of the ZOOM platform.

The event was held in the format of presentations by Estonia. The relevant issues were discussed in the following areas: the history of formation of the legal education at Tallinn University of Technology; gradual and end-to-end training of lawyers; part-time and remote forms of obtaining higher legal education; measures to control the education quality; training of lawyers in higher education institutions with the specific studying conditions; training of lawyers: a list of knowledge areas and specialties. After each presentation, the participants of the event asked questions, exchanged opinions and had a discussion.
