Webinar on the topic “Officer or individual? Police in social media accounts” took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Tuomo Korhonen, Senior Adviser on General Policing of European Union Advisory Mission Field Office in Kharkiv was the main speaker of the event.

Applicants for higher education, scientific and pedagogical staff of the University and representatives of Sumy Branch and Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA participated in the webinar. During the event, participants were informed about the policy of using social networks by police officers, security guidelines in social networks for police officers, basic etiquette rules on the official police websites were also considered. Tuomo Korhonen paid attention to the consequences, which may arise from non-compliance with the safety instructions during the usage of social networks.

The webinar was held in English with consecutive translation into Ukrainian. The participants of the event exchanged their thoughts, commented on the speaker's speech, asked questions to which they received meaningful answers.
