The Student-Cadet Parliament of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, headed by 3rd-year student Maryna Haidar, organized the first meeting of the English speaking club in the ZOOM-conference mode. The event was conducted by Yuliia Vashchenko, the head of the scientific and educational sector of the Student-Cadet Parliament with the participation of Zoriana Mokhonok, the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Humanitarian Subjects.
The purpose of the English speaking club is to improve and increase the spoken English of students and cadets for use in future professions. 1-3 year applicants for higher education attended this event. The topic of the first meeting was chosen, it was an acute social problem of today - bullying. Boys and girls watched the video “Bullying. Stop the Trend. Help Defend” and shared their thoughts and impressions. According to the conference organizers, bullying takes place not only in reality but on the Internet as well.
