An expanded meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of Faculty No.1 was held in the format of a ZOOM conference. Сadets of KhNUIA, as well as students of the Faculty of International Economic Relations and Travel Business of V.N. Karazin KhNU took part in its work. Associate Professors of the Department Hennadii Dedurin and Stanislav Ivanov were moderators of the event.

Members of the circle presented their reports at the meeting: cadets Serhii Khara “Interpol: History of Formation”, Taras Lytovchenko “Constitutional and Legal Status of the Ukrainian National Minority in Interwar Czechoslovakia” and Sofiia Kosenko “Women and Suffrage: Historical Experience of European Countries”.

All presented reports aroused lively discussion among the participants of the meeting. The detailed and reasoned answers of the speakers to the questions allowed to expand the stated topics of the reports and discuss issues related to international mechanisms for the protection of the rights of national minorities and the observance of the principles of gender equality in modern society.

Following the meeting, the presented reports were recommended for the participation in the All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference of Higher Education Applicants “Mechanism of Civil Society Functioning (Autumn Readings)”, which will be held online on the basis of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs on November 20, 2020.
