An online meeting with Olena Omelchenko, the Head of the Department of Communications and Legal Education of the Regional Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid (FSLA) of Sumy region for 2-3 year students of the Branch was organized by Yuliia Vashchenko, the Head of the Scientific and Education Sector of the Student and Cadet Parliament of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

Students had the opportunity to view a presentation on the specifics of the FSLA work, the stages of its foundation, the legal framework of the system of free secondary legal aid, the activities of its centers in Ukraine and Sumy region. The "Recovery Program for Juveniles Suspected of Committing a Crime" project was discussed.

The center specialist, together with future lawyers, analyzed three "cases" concerning minors who had committed various offenses. She also drew attention to the legal advice platform WikiLegalAid - a site that contains links to regulations, samples of procedural documents, consultations that are understandable not only for specialists but also for people without a legal education.
