Representatives of the Scientific Department of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs - Maryna Petchenko, the Candidate of Economic Sciences, the Head of the Scientific Department and Nataliia Dovbysh, the Inspector of the Scientific Department completed the online course on “I know gender”.

The online course had been adapted, translated and posted on the Prometheus platform with the technical support of the project “Decentralisation and Community Safety: Transformative Approaches to Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in Ukraine”.

The aim of this course is to develop and raise awareness of gender equality understanding and women’s empowerment as the first step towards behavioral change and the integration of a gender perspective into daily life and at the national level. It offers an introduction to concepts, international structures and working methods for achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment, proposes the opportunity to establish a link between gender and specific thematic areas, such as work; education; political participation; emergency; peace and security; sexual and reproductive health; diversity of sex and gender, and human rights; violence against women.

The acquired knowledge and skills will be used during the research activity by the participants of the online event.
