On January 22 the Day of Unity of Ukraine is celebrated. On this day in 1919, the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic was proclaimed.

On January 19, on the day of Epiphany, church services and water consecration took place in Sumy region. 97 cadets of the 2nd year of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, who are currently practicing in police practical units of Sumy region, took part in ensuring the safety of citizens and maintaining public order during the festivities.

Students of Faculty № 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, studying in the specialty "Cybersecurity", took part in the webinar "Step-by-step start-up plan in the field of IT for non-IT specialists", prepared by GoIT company, which specializes in training specialists for leading IT companies.

Secretary of the School of Scientific Leadership of KhNUIA 3rd year cadet of the Faculty № 1 Victoriia Kolesnyk took part in the webinar "Pravozakhysna INSHA", which took place over two days and was initiated by the Foundation of Region Initiatives. The webinar program consisted of six blocks: "Introduction to Rights Protection", "Fact-checking and critical thinking", "Peaceful meetings - what is it?", "Communication with the police", "Protection of personal data", "Successful advocacy campaigns".

Anastasiia Batiukh, a second-year cadet of the Faculty № 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, during a training internship at the MDNP of Zaporizhzhia region, together with police employees from Zavodskyi Police Department of Zaporizhzhia City and activists, presented the work of the chat-bot “Zaporizhzhia against Drugs” to students.

At the invitation of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv, Vice-Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Leonid Mohilevskyi took part in the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the tragic events which happened on January 20, 1990 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
