Our ancestors were well aware of the unique properties of this magical plant, believed that a guelder rose can listen and comfort, the wedding loaf was decorated be it and was put on the altar as a strong amulet. A guelder rose has been successfully treated for many ailments, because this miracle plant contains antioxidants, there are virtually all vitamins, minerals, which strengthen the immune, cardiovascular and nervous systems. (It is worth mentioning during this year's pandemic that viburnum contains several times more vitamin C than lemons). Tincture from its root stopped complex bleeding. Ukrainian women also used berries in cosmetology, because it has components that tone and rejuvenates the skin.
A guelder rose bushes were also planted near the Sumy Regional Blood Service Center. This is very symbolic - a drop of blood and a berry of it are the same color and healing power. In fact, the plant also has the ability to renew blood. So let the guelder rose bloom and bear berries to support the forces of ascetic donors, including cadets, students and staff of Sumy branch of KhNUIA. And all Ukrainians need to remember the wise folk proverb more often: "Remember, child, what the mother said: 'Plant a guelder rose near your house!'
