The final meeting of the Academic Council of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs for 2020 took place. The first considered issue was the election of the chairman of the Academic Council of the University. Valerii Sokurenko, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Police General of the Third Rank, was unanimously elected as a Chairman of the Academic Council.
Dmytro Shvets, the First Vice-Rector of the university, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Police Colonel, was elected as a Deputy Chairman of the Academic Council.
During the scientific meeting, a number of issues were considered, such as the results of research work in 2020 and approval of the Plan of research and development work of the University for 2021; the results of publishing activities in 2020 and approval of the Plan for the publication of educational and educational-methodical literature in 2021 by the university; the results of the certification of applicants for higher education in 2020, etc.
