Teachers of the Department of Humanities Yuliia Samoilova and Zoriana Mokhonok conducted a binary lesson for first-year students with the participation of a specialist from the Regional Center for Free Legal Aid in Sumy region.

The Deputy Director of the Regional Center Valentyna Volobuieva held a conversation on "Legal aspects of protection of victims of gender-based violence."

Students were told about the types of gender-based violence and what are the methods of influencing the abuser. In addition, the speaker, as a practicing lawyer, gave examples of cases of domestic violence, explained what priority actions should be taken by the victim.

The participants discussed the consequences of domestic violence, the status of children in families where violence occurs, and identified institutions that deal with violence.
