A two-day webinar on the topic «De-escalation Techniques for Police» was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The webinar was conducted in English with consecutive translation into Ukrainian.

The main speaker of the event was Saer Ammar, Adviser on the Rule of Law of EUAM Regional Office in Kharkiv, who informed about possible conflict situations, highlighted tactics and methods that will help resolve the conflict between the police and citizens without the use of force, gave examples of several conflict scenarios and offered the audience to analyze and resolve how to clear up a misunderstanding, and also gave practical advice and examples of effective communication.

The applicants for higher education and representatives of the scientific and pedagogical staff of KhNUIA, as well as the representatives of separate structural units - Sumy Branch and Kremenchuk Flight College, participated in the webinar.
