Ten participants of the second round of the second Open Internet Olympiad of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on information security "Young CyberErudite" for graduates of general secondary education institutions of Ukraine in 2021 have been identified.
Thanks to the informational support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, departments, and divisions of education and science of regional state administrations and Kyiv City State Administration, parents of students, teachers, and students of secondary schools in all regions of Ukraine were informed about the Olympiad.
748 participants from all regions of Ukraine, more than 60% of whom are residents of district centers and rural areas, have registered to participate in the Young CyberErudite Olympiad. Students of Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Lviv, Volyn, Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr regions of Ukraine showed the greatest interest in participating in the Olympiad. Among them, 57.5% are boys and 42.5% are girls.
On February 20, 2021, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs together with the public center "Global Center for Interaction in Cyberspace" (https://gc3.com.ua) held the first round of the Olympiad "Young CyberErudite". For 45 minutes, participants tried to give as many correct answers as possible to 150 test questions to determine the level of knowledge in the field of information security, namely: units of information; character encoding; types of computer memory and features of information storage; basic commands and principles of work with Linux operating systems; addressing in computer networks; network services and protocols; encoding and encryption of information, basic principles of cryptography; password protection; file systems; types of malware; antivirus software; types of cyberattacks and methods of counteracting them; methods and means of unauthorized penetration into information and telecommunication systems and telecommunication networks; methods of social engineering; methods and means of collecting information about network resources and nodes, etc.
During the second round of the Olympiad, which will be held on February 27, 2021, ten participants of the first round, who in accordance with the Regulations of the Olympiad met all the requirements for participants of the first and second rounds of the Olympiad, will solve practical problems online using computer tools. Members of the Olympiad jury - representatives of the faculty № 4 (cyberpolice) of the university will observe the progress of practical tasks for each of the participants of the second round.

Each of the participants of the second round of the Olympiad, depending on the place he or she took, will receive a diploma and a prize from the public association "Global Center for Interaction in Cyberspace".
The purpose of the Olympiad is to realize the abilities of talented students, stimulate creative self-improvement of student youth, popularization of achievements of science, technology and the latest technologies.
