Consultants of the Legal Clinic of KhNUIA hold weekly field visits of citizens under the guidance of teachers-curators. After receiving assignments during the preparation of consultations, teachers-curators together with students and cadets discussed the ways to solve problems and specify which regulations should be used. The analysis of citizens' appeals shows that they most often seek help on civil, family, and labor law issues. Recently, there have also been appeals that require consultations in the field of criminal procedure and social protection.

Providing free legal aid to citizens is an important social function of the Legal Clinic and a form of education for students and cadets of the university. Many years of work of the Legal Clinic of KhNUIA proved the necessity and great benefit of providing legal assistance to low-income and socially vulnerable groups.
