Lesia Ukrainka is a genius daughter of the Ukrainian people, the beauty and pride of the nation, the spiritual leader of the Ukrainian intelligentsia. Honoring the work of the poetess, Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs implemented a number of cultural, artistic, and educational projects.

First-year higher education students took part in the poetic flashmob "She must go to the future ages." They recited poems by the poetess "Hope", "Lily of the Valley", "Who Said I Was Weak", "Evening Hour", "How I Was a Child", excerpts from "The Forest Song", etc., which praised love, Motherland, indomitable spirit, nature. The stand "Pages of History" was decorated with informational and educational material "Lesia's word for eternity". Creativity and interesting facts from the life of Lesia Ukrainka were discussed by 2nd year students after watching the documentary video "Moments of a bright life".

During the school year there will also be themed educational classes and literary evenings, excursions to the museum-estate of Lesia Ukrainka, located in the village of Kosivshchyna, and to Sumy National Academic Drama and Musical Comedy Theater named after M. Shchepkin to watch a spectacle performance based on the work of Lesia Ukrainka "Forest Song".
