Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted a lecture for students of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education: doctoral students, associate professors and graduate students of the university. During the lecture, the issues of the concept of academic plagiarism, its main types and measures to prevent it during the preparation of scientific papers were raised. Students learned about the content, features and differences between concepts such as plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplication of publications, duplication of scientific results, aggregation or addition of data, disaggregation of data and other types of academic plagiarism. The participants were also explained the principles and mechanism of operation of the electronic system "Unicheck", which is used at the university to test scientific papers for plagiarism.
