A meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics of the Faculty No. 6 of KhNUIA was held in the online format. The meeting was dedicated to the topic "Organization of the work of the justice authorities". Students and representatives of the research and teaching staff of the department took part in the work.
Iryna Panova, Head of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics, emphasized that the activities of the Ministry of Justice bodies are aimed at protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the state and public organizations and citizens, organizing the work of courts, systematizing and preparing proposals for the codification of legislation. Today, Ukrainian justice has become an important factor in building an independent, democratic and legal state. The influence of the legal profession representatives on the political and socio-economic processes in society, on the implementation of the tasks of the current stage of state formation and law-making in Ukraine, is difficult to overestimate. The successful formation of the national legal field largely depends on lawyers.
The head of the scientific circle, associate professor of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics Viktoriia Melnyk reminded about the recent commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the Chornobyl accident. The members of the scientific circle were told about the events that changed the lives of many. This catastrophe is considered to be the largest in the history of nuclear energy, which has caused a large number of victims and people who lost their health, and enormous economic losses.
Several reports were prepared and discussed by the members of the scientific circle. In particular, the students prepared reports: Viktoriia Rodycheva -"Administrative responsibility of minors", Sofiia Bezuhla - "Responsibility of civil servants for corruption", Kateryna Labunets - "General characteristics of the organization of justice bodies", Anna Shevchenko - "Justice bodies" and Svitlana Polkhova - "Activities of individual bodies of justice."
