Hanna Sheliekhova, the head of the Zarichnyi District Court of Sumy, gave a lecture to students of 1-2 courses of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the topic "Right to Hope".

The lecturer spoke about various aspects of the issue of life imprisonment. She pointed out that there is no right in Ukrainian law for convicts to review their terms of imprisonment, which is not in line with the practice of foreign states, as the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has repeatedly pointed out in its judgments against Ukraine. The meeting was interesting and aroused great interest of students.
