At the initiative of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, an excursion was organized for future entrants within the framework of career guidance activities. At the invitation of Associate Professor of the Department Valeriia Samotiievych, the university was visited by representatives of Kharkiv Secondary School №26 - representatives of the administration and students of 9-11 grades.
The students talked to a representative of the admissions committee, who acquainted them with the requirements for admission to KhNUIA, after which the students had an interesting tour. Graduates visited the museum, where they learned about the history of the university and Kharkiv region law enforcement agencies' creation and formation. Prospective entrants talked to the management of the faculty №6 - Dean Oksana Brusakova and Deputy Deans Serhii Zahorodnii and Kostiantyn Sverdlin, who told about the benefits of higher education and acquainted the students with the specialties that can be obtained while studying at the faculty №6, with the institution main areas of work as well as the material and technical base. At the end of the meeting, the students were invited to make their own fingerprints, using the forensic equipment, which aroused their great interest.
