Within the Jean Monet Module “On-line UGent Academy for Ukrainian Lecturers: "EU Law and Policy” (UGent_ACADEMY4UA) Ghent University offers a certificate course and training for Ukrainian professionals with an interest in EU related disciplines.
The course consists of 62 teaching hours devoted to different aspects of EU law and policy (history and development of the European integration process; constitutional aspects of the EU; human rights, rule of law, democracy and legitimacy in the EU; EU trade and competition policy; the EU international personality; EU Security and Defence Policy; social policy; Neighbourhood policy; EU and Ukraine) to be held online between April-June 2023 (see a tentative schedule below). It also includes several workshops to develop and refine transferable skills on planning and writing a grant proposal.
Besides, UGent_ACADEMY4UA provides a platform to discuss problems of teaching EU law and policy in Ukraine and serves as a tool of academic diplomacy fostering cooperation between EU and Ukrainian academia.
