NATO continues to provide support for men and women who have served and serving Ukraine through the programs of Human Centric Framework (HCF) under the Comprehensive Assistance Package. Enhancing institutional capacities of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs and the Ukrainian Veterans Fund is one of the areas HCF is focusing on in Ukraine.

In particular, NATO provides expert assistance to the Ministry in developing the draft law "On the main principles of veteran policy in Ukraine," and the Strategy for the formation of the system of transition from military service to civilian life. The organization also sustains the delivery of quality services to Ukrainian veterans by providing expert support to the Ukrainian Veterans Fund. Overall, NATO has engaged 9 experts to assist the Ministry and Veterans Fund in the current year.
