Every year on December 14 we celebrate the Day of Honoring the Participants of the Liquidation of the Consequences of Chernobyl Disaster at Chernobyl Atomic Electric Power Station. The construction of a protective sarcophagus over the destroyed fourth power unit was completed this day in 1986.

To the Day of Honoring the Participants of the Chornobyl Accident, the library presented a book-illustrative exposition "Black Wings of Trouble". The exposition contains publications and photographs about the catastrophe and its consequences, about the heroism of the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident and about the realities of the exclusion zone after the tragedy, where time stood still.
